Milwaukee Area Family Weekend 2010

Rocket Science!

Eighty-five brethren gathered from Milwaukee, Chicago, Wisconsin Dells and as far away as Indiana and Kansas City, Missouri for the 3rd annual Milwaukee Area Family Weekend at beautiful Bong State Park in Kansasville, Wisconsin, July 24-25.

Sabbath services were held in Kenosha, Wisconsin with a powerful message on “Seeing the Big Picture” followed by an inspiring Bible Study on “Dynamic Prayer.”  On Sunday, July 25, brethren enjoyed a wonderful picnic atmosphere that included a baking contest.  The younger children were able to enjoy games and a rented inflatable “Moon Walk” that provided plenty of fun and excitement.

After the noon meal, it was then off to the launch site which was an old Air Force runway.  More than 35 rockets of all shapes and sizes were launched with the highest going up to 1,500 feet in the clear blue sky.  It was a memorable weekend for everyone involved.  The wonderful fellowship and Christian camaraderie were enjoyed by all.  We all thank God for the beautiful weather and the unity that He provided in making this a wonderful success.  Afterward it was safe to say that everyone had a “blast”!
